Regina Bauer Frankenberg directed that the remainder of her estate be used to establish a foundation to support organizations and programs that promote the care, conservation, treatment, well-being and prevention of cruelty to animals. This includes efforts to protect endangered and threatened species by supporting conservation and research. The Regina Bauer Frankenberg Foundation is providing support in 2010 and 2011 to APW's Maasailand Lion Conservation Program.
